In March we look forward to International Women's Day (March 8), a global day celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. Throughout this month, we recognize women and their success, while raising awareness against bias.
At BriskHeat, women represent 71% of our workforce. From engineering, marketing, sales, customer service, accounting, production, and human resources - we are proud to be a company that represents inspirational female talent every day, across all areas of BriskHeat.
So today we celebrate and show our appreciation to the great women that help BriskHeat succeed and put the spotlight on their achievements – may we continue to lift them up, congratulate and support them each day.
This whole month via LinkedIn, we’ll be shining a light on some of the women who help make BriskHeat successful! Up first, Edye Buchanan:
Edye Buchanan, CMfgT is a Sales Strategist at BriskHeat Corporation. In her current position, she works with the Sales and Marketing groups to uncover new technologies, applications and sales channels for industrial surface and immersion heaters, and control systems. She is published in Processing Magazine, Thermal Processing, and Process Heating magazines on topics such as thermal efficiency, vacuum heating and advanced material processing.
With more than 20 years experience, Edye has been recognized with the 2013 Fives Innovation Award in Combustion Technology and the 2014 STEP Award recognizing women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Production.  Edye is serving her fourth term as an SME International Director and is an advisor to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Composite Manufacturing Tech Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University and is an SME Certified Manufacturing Technologist.
