How do you protect mechanical devices that have unique shapes and sizes from freezing in the winter?

Inclement weather can wreak havoc on facilities maintenance personnel who are trying to protect mechanical devices from failure brought on by cold weather.  Items like transmitters, pumps, valves, gauges, actuators, manifolds, and more have unique shapes and sizes that make protection difficult. Besides the cold air, devices can be pelted by snow and ice, and strong winds can worsen the conditions even more. Protection devices not only need to create warmth, but they must also be able to withstand and perform under brutal conditions.  BriskHeat has solved the problem with their new Wintershield Freeze Protection Heated Pockets.

A Heated Pocket sits in the center not plugged inWintershield pockets encapsulate uniquely shaped and sized objects to create warm pockets of air around them, in all weather conditions including sub-freezing environments.  The lace-up installation makes them as easy to install as a work boot on a foot and allows maneuverability around obstructions like pipes, wires, and bases or stands. The obstructions can even be protruding from three different sides. The heaters come with built-in preset thermostats set at 45F and extra-long power cords with plugs so they are truly plug-and-play products. The facings and liners are made of extra-durable polyester cloth for incredible durability and work with the built-in closed-cell insulation to repel moisture. They are removable and reusable so they can be used year after year, and because they are so versatile, they have applicability across almost all industries. BriskHeat’s Wintershield Freeze Protection Heated Pockets provide all these features and benefits yet are extremely affordable.

How do you install them?

Simply cover or wrap the object with the heater like you would put a hood over your head.  It has openings on three sides to make that easy. Then lace it closed and snug using the built-in hooks. Once you’ve done that you have created the protective pocket. All that’s left is to just plug it in and you’re done.  It’s that easy.
