What is the difference between aĀ Band Heater and a Nozzle Heater?
A nozzle heater is a smaller version of a bandĀ heater. Typically, a heater with a diameter ofĀ 3 in (76 mm) or less is considered a nozzleĀ heater.
What is Mica and why is it important?
Mica is an electric insulation that surrounds theĀ heating elements in band and nozzle heaters.Ā It provides the dialectric strength needed forĀ demanding applications.
What is the maximum watt densityĀ and operating temperature of aĀ BriskHeat band or nozzle heater?
Maximum watt density is 40 W/in² (6 W/cm2) and maximum operating temperature is 850°F (454°C).
What 3rd-party approvals doĀ BriskHeat band and nozzle heatersĀ have?
By request, BriskHeat band and nozzle heatersĀ can be manufactured to UL Standard UL499 andĀ CE compliance.
What if the cylinder I need to heat hasĀ obstructions?
BriskHeat band and nozzle heaters can be madeĀ with cut-outs, holes, and slots.
Are all band and nozzle heatersĀ cylindrical-shaped?
No. BriskHeat can also supply these heaters inĀ āboxā or rectangular shapes.
Are BriskHeat band and nozzleĀ heaters approved for hazardousĀ locations?
No.
